Deputy District Attorney Janelle Crandall

Janelle Crandell has been a Deputy District Attorney with the Amador County District Attorney’s Office for over 12 years. She has prosecuted a wide variety of cases including fraud, economic crimes, asset forfeiture and general crimes. Janelle received her Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Janelle is currently assigned to the Special Prosecutions Unit which investigates and prosecutes crimes involving insurance fraud, welfare fraud and consumer protection. As an important part of her program, she works closely with Operation Care in providing outreach to members of our local community. A highlight of their relationship has been meeting with our senior residents to educate them about current fraudulent scams and provide support to those that may have been victimized by criminals.
