Operation Care provides domestic violence and sexual assault support services, crisis intervention and education to Amador County. We strive to reduce the incidents of intimate partner violence and promote healthy relationships.

What We Do
Operation Care has been providing services and safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1980. During the 2017/2018 fiscal year, we assisted 318 clients and housed 46 women and children at our safe house. Advocates helped 42 victims with temporary restraining orders, and provided crisis intervention to 42 sexual assault victims and 38 Victims of Crime. The staff provided 281 DV/SA peer counseling sessions, answered 256 DV/SA crisis calls and hundreds of transports to appointments, court, and other locations.

Our talented and dedicated staff is always busy with projects and programs and we thought you might like to know what we do!
Tammie Crabtree, Executive Director, is responsible for the agency, its programs, financials, grants, public relations, direct services, and staff.
Ashley Carnicello, Deputy Director, is responsible for grants, compliance, statistics, reporting and day-to-day administrative operations.
Bruce Platt, Fiscal Director, is responsible for financials and budgeting of agency.
Stephanie E, Prevention/Outreach Assistant, provides administrative support for all direct service and prevention and outreach programs and campaigns.
Kilie D, Prevention/Outreach Specialist, provides prevention and outreach to the community regarding Operation Care programs and coordinates Operation Care campaigns.
Anna G, Client Services Supervisor, oversees Client Services and Prevention/Outreach Services. Also, provides presentations and trainings in the community about Operation Care and our services.
Jamie H, Shelter Coordinator, provides support by maintaining and managing a temporary, safe, and nurturing living environment for victims of domestic violence and their families.
Kelly H, Administrative Assistant, provides support to all programs and administrative tasks.
Angelica H, Prevention/Outreach Assistant, provides administrative support for all direct service and prevention and outreach programs and campaigns.
Janet N, Program Specialist -provides individual and group counseling and support services to domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families.
Renee W: Program Specialist-provides individual and group counseling and support services to domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families.
Harlan S, Custodian, provides janitorial services for facility.
Rebecca Y, Program Assistant, provides administrative support for all direct service and prevention and outreach programs and campaigns.
Sharly G, Care Closet Assistant, assists in maintaining Care Closet and Go! Youth facility.

Operation Care is accepting applications for our Board of Directors!
We are looking for high-charged board candidates who have a passion for our mission, the ability to be a good steward of the organization, will bring ideas and perspective, think innovatively, and represent our community. We are especially interested in individuals who bring experience and skills in the following areas:

If you support the mission of Operation Care and would like take your involvement to the next level, please consider applying.We encourage prospective members to attend one or two board meetings, and if possible, to participate in at least one committee for a month or two. This will allow you to evaluate your level of participation prior to making a full commitment.
