Operation Care provides domestic violence and sexual assault support services, crisis intervention and education to Amador County. We strive to reduce the incidents of intimate partner violence and promote healthy relationships.

ABOUT US
What We Do
Operation Care has been providing services and safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1980. During the 2023/2024 fiscal year, we assisted 243 clients and housed 38 men, women and children at our safe house. Advocates helped 78 victims with temporary restraining orders, and answered over 2,000 calls on our crisis line, including information and referral calls and calls related to domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes.

Operation Care is accepting applications for our Board of Directors!
We are looking for high-charged board candidates who have a passion for our mission, the ability to be a good steward of the organization, will bring ideas and perspective, think innovatively, and represent our community. We are especially interested in individuals who bring experience and skills in the following areas:

- Nonprofit Leadership
- Community Engagement
- Communications & Marketing
If you support the mission of Operation Care and would like take your involvement to the next level, please consider applying.We encourage prospective members to attend one or two board meetings, and if possible, to participate in at least one committee for a month or two. This will allow you to evaluate your level of participation prior to making a full commitment.
