What is Giving Tuesday?
Each year at Thanksgiving time and the week following, we have a day for giving thanks, two days for getting deals, and a nationally and globally recognized day for giving back – #GivingTuesday.
“Give where you live” for the benefit of our local nonprofits that do such important work in Amador County!
So, how can you participate in Giving Tuesday?

Write a Check Today! – Mail or drop off a postdated check to Operation Care 817 Court Street Ste 12, Jackson, CA 95642. Write on the memo “Giving Tuesday” and date the check for 11/28/23 in order to qualify for matching funds!

In Person – Meet & Greet Charity Showcase Nov 28, 2023, from 4:00pm – 6:30pm FREE Event with refreshments at Katharine Drexel Parish-Open to the public 11361 Prospect Dr. Jackson, CA 95642. FREE small bites and refreshments and no-host bar! Donate to all your favorite non-profits in one day!

Drop Off at ACF Office at 571 S. Hwy 49 in Jackson 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov 28, 2023 to accept your tax-deductible check donations!

Online Giving All Day – donate to Operation Care online on Nov 28, 2023 at GiveAmador.org!
Donations made in person + online Nov 28, 2023 qualify for Giving Tuesday incentives, maximizing your charitable gifts!

Operation Care answers, on average, over 2,500 calls on our crisis line per year, including information and referral calls and calls related to domestic violence, sexual assault and other crimes.
All services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

24hr Crisis Line, Peer Counseling, Restraining Order Assistance, Court Accompaniment, Safe House Shelter, Outreach, Crisis Intervention, Emergency financial assistance, Emergency Food and Clothing.
