Workshops & Support Groups

We offer a variety of support groups and workshops to help individuals to understand domestic violence and sexual assault and to educate about healthy friendships and relationships.  Click on the links below to see details about each program.

Support Groups

  • Domestic Violence Support Group for women is held every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. This ongoing group discusses skills to help victims cope with domestic violence while building healthy friendships and relationships. Walk-In’s are welcome!
  • Rural Economic Empowerment Program (REEP) gives women who are escaping a financially abusive relationship the tools to be financially independent.   You will learn what financial abuse is, how to create a budget, how to obtain and understand your credit report, and understand the different types of loans available.
  • Children’s Group– This 10-session children’s group helps children understand and recognize their feelings using fun activities including coloring, drawing and crafts. Topics include feelings, families, dealing with anger and safety planning.


  • Chrysalis group is an 8-session violence prevention workshop for teenage girls to help them understand different types of violence and the roots of violence. Sessions include topics such as self-esteem, anger, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
  • Making the Peace is a 10-session violence prevention workshop that helps young people deal with the deeper, more sensitive issues around violence. This workshop includes a step-by-step process of looking at many causes of violence among youth.
  • Cage your Rage is a 10-session violence prevention/anger management workshop that helps young people manage their anger and develop positive communication skills.
  • Love is not Abuse is a 3-session co-ed workshop for teenagers. This workshop was developed by Liz Claiborne, Inc and focuses on understanding
    teen dating violence, becoming allies to those who may be experiencing dating violence, and ending dating violence.
  • Anti-Bullying class for elementary and middle school aged children interested in learning about how to deal with bullying.
  • Skills class is an ongoing workshop that teaches you basic skills such as healthy relationships, friendships, anger control, and dealing with stress.
  • Safe and Healthy Touching Puppet Show. A 30-40 minute puppet show using adorable puppets talking to each other about safe and healthy touching.
  • WreckED is a FREE 10-session Drug & Alcohol Prevention workshop. Learn strategies for dealing with peer pressure, drug classifications, and consequences of using drugs.
