This year, on Tuesday, November 27, 2108, Operation Care and many other Amador County nonprofit organizations are participating in #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world.

#GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.

One of the best ways to get involved is in our own community.

Amador Community Foundation gives this nationally recognized annual giving campaign a special local twist. By making donations ONLINE at giveamador.org on Tuesday, November 27th between 6am and 8pm Pacific Time, or by check at the Charity Meet & Greet, your dollars go further, thanks to $40,000 of incentives from local donors. Last year Amador’s #GivingTuesday raised $128,501 for local charities! Amador Community Foundation matched $35,020 for a total day of giving of $163,521.  Operation Care proudly received $$2,780.33 (see complete list here).
